Chief Akurienne Paul Chosen Anyaegbunam Tribute Paul Chosen was born in Kano city in 1959 to the family of Chief Akurienne Bernard and Mandan Alice Anyaegbunam. His both parents are late, mother died in 1987 and father died in the right old age of 94 years in 2005. He had his early primary school days in Kano which was disrupted by the Nigerian civil war. The Family moved down to the East of Nigeria, though his parent returned back to Kano after the war. Young Paulo as he is favorably referred to by family members stayed on at Enugu with his step- mother where his father owned properties. He completed his primary school and got admission into National Grammar school Nike Enugu, and after his final year and the school certificate exams he got employed in the civil service and had a brief career in the serve, while in the employment of the Inland Revue he paid his way studying Finance at the IMT Enugu. At which time he was living with his big sister and husband Dr and Mrs. Gloria and Dr Martin Egbue at their GRA Enugu resident. A few years after his studies and graduation he left the civil service in an early retirement and joined his big brother Chief Nnayelugo in construction and general contract business and had years of apprenticeship and practice in the family business before setting out on his own. He ever since remained in self employment till his death. He was a husband, father, coach, mentor, Pastor, and all around great guy. Many remember Paul because of the profound and loving impact he had on them. It was in the field of business that he found his true passion for industry, working in the service of humanity. Paul was the kind of guy that you would want in your team; he is a one man army and executor. He had no fear of what tomorrow will bring – all he ever owned was at all times in his back pocket and he spend it as he moves along. This was how generous and charitable my brother was, he was a chip off the old block little wonder that he decided in renaming his Ozo Ogidi title name after the death of his father to Akurienne the title name of his father in his life time. He is a lover of family anybodies trouble was his own personally and he will spare no expense in doing whatever it takes to lift it off you. At the same time he calls it as he sees it, and ever ready to ask for forgiveness where he is wrong, there is no gray area where he is concern it is either black or white with Paul. He was a man of no half measures, Paul was no pretender he is with you or he is not and you will be certain to know where he stands. He is a believer; he lived his life in his chosen faith and die while in service of God. What a way to be called home for eternal rest. Call me simple minded but that says it all for me.
